Kruger National Park: The Legend
Kruger National Park: The Legend
Kruger Safari – The Kruger National Park is the largest game reserves in Africa. It was established in 1898 as a conservation area and opened its gates for the first time to the public in 1927.
The Kruger Park is the second largest nature reserve in South Africa, covering about 2 million hectares – almost 19, 000 square km. It is 350 kilometres long from North to South and 60 kilometres wide from East to West.

A Kruger safari is your opportunity to see why millions of visitors from all over the world come to the Kruger Park to enjoy a tour with its abundance of wildlife, fauna and flora. A Kruger safari takes you on a journey through the heart of Africa’s flagship.

The best time of the year for your Kruger tour is all year round. Winter months is from April to September. Water is restricted to rivers and waterholes; visibility is also good as the vegetation is less dense. A Kruger tour in the summer-time however is just as great. From October to March is hot and humid due to the summer thunder storms and rains, but viewing the Big 5 (Elephant, Buffalo, Rhino Lion and Leopard) and bird watching is excellent. The best animal sightings on a Kruger tour is in the early morning and late afternoon when the animals is most active. A Kruger Safari in November and December is a must!
